I find that hard to believe. I don't think the 'extras' do anything for it. Besides which, Morricone NEVER uses this 'version' for any of his concerts. The maestro would more likely use his time to create something new.
It is a remix done by Morricone himself, in 1977. He recorded at least 2 different mix of Come Maddalena, plus Chi Mai with additional drums and keyboard.
