This kinda of nonsense is like comparing women to females. To be the best bassist or any other musician in the WORLD one would have to master every style of music on the planet. Neither one of these cool cats play Bulgarian, Breton, Mambo, Soukous, Hindustani, Flamenco, Chaturang, Cumbia, Yiddish, Basque, Sufi, or Pakistani music.

people who think flea is a "shit" bassist don't know what they're talking about. they are both very talented bass players but since when was music about being better than everyone else? geddy without a doubt has more technique than flea, but flea has such soul and passion with his bass playing and isn't that what music is all about? in my opinion, both amazing, both different styles, no competition.
