I made this video to help prepare me for the NSCA CSCS/CPT Certification. This is part 1 of the muscular system. Skeletal Muscle appearance and function are discussed in the video. Connective tissue and the motor neuron are also discussed in the video. Here is part of the outline for part 1 :

2. Skeletal Muscle

— There are over 600 skeletal muscles.
— Makes up 40% to 50% of the total body weight.
— Specialized to produce movement of a body part.
— Its cells convert the chemical energy of ATP into the mechanical energy of contraction.
3. Skeletal muscle is organ that contains:

— Muscle Fibers
— Fibrous Connective Tissue
— Nerve Tissue
— Blood Vessels

  • Remember E comes before P in the alphabet Therefore the Epimysium come before the Perimysium and the Endomysium comes at the end.
