To sand drywall, use a screen sander, also known as a pole sander, in circular motions with lots of movement to achieve a smooth, clean finish, being careful not to scrape in only one direction. Sand down drywall, wearing a respirator mask to avoid inhaling the dust, with advice from a licensed remodeling contractor in this free video on home maintenance.

I live in an older house and have noticed that there's a bow in the wall (gyproc) in the kitchen. I'd like to put a ceramic backsplash in that area but the bow in the wall would be right in the middle of ceramic backsplash. How can I fix this problem and so that I can install the backsplash. Thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to share your skills with all of us.

The only thing he says that is true is that you need a mask and never let the sandpaper get horizontal or vertical! 17 years experiance and 11000 jobs says its crap! MESH PAPER = BAD
VACUUME ATTACHMENT = STUPID
SANDING IN CIRCLES = YOU'RE AN IDIOT!
Show corners or top angle or how to check your work with a 300 watt bulb.....
And for god sakes man DOCTOR your materials so you don't scratch the crap outta everything!
My rant, Bitch if you can but you know you can't!
