"If there are no schools..."

On 6/8/07 I taught a Form 2 (aka 10th grade) class in Kenya. After class I took out my camera and the students jumped all over it, wanting to explore the technology and to see themselves in a picture. After showing them a video I made earlier that week, a few girls wanted to test it out themselves, and asked to recite this poem for me. It was their first time seeing themselves on video.

This was my first of several volunteer experiences with www.villagevolunteers.org, which changed my life!
