More chigger experiments: Bath with a cup of Clorox, Calamine Lotion, Claritin, benadryl. I took a good nap because of the Benadryl. Also the TRUTH about what a chigger bite is. We went to the doctor, and the dermatoligist was there. I got 2 prescriptions: Pregnozone and Fluocinonide. Then we went down to the comedy show and had some laughs.

  • Ok your Bath has to be no Less then 45 minutes add a lotion in your bath. then get a big tube of Cetaphil cream. You will be feeling better. The long baths drowns any bugs, and it helps get some fluids back in your skin. The Cetaphil stops itch and it also lubes the skin so it won't be dry. I feel for you. It takes time good luck.

  • @MegaTriumph1 thanks for the tips. This was over a year ago now, but I'll take any advice I can get in case it happens again! Thanks for watching! If you wanna watch more of my daily vlogs, check out my new vlogging channel: TheFunnyrats

  • The best thing to do is wait it out. You can stop the itch but nuthin will make them go away. Just gotta throw some stuff on the bites and wait.

  • @MayhemArt Yeah I know... but the doc prescribed an anit-itch cream that worked wonders!

  • @l4anyrat O nice, i have like 100000000 on my legs. and the doc gave me some type of steriod to help the redness and stuff.

  • @MayhemArt i think mine was a steroid also!

  • @donlara55 yeah benadryl was a life saver!

  • I have had chigers several years in a row and just like all bug bite allergies, it is caused by stress and a low immune system. I have found that taking several thousand mg. of deodorized garlic tablets and vitamin B in heavy amounts over the course of the day to repel bugs and to improve your immune system. We use witch hazel constantly and it does work. Also any sunburn spray will help, and Benadryl at night in a large dose. Also lightly spray your mattress nightly with sevin spray.

  • @l4anyrat Thank you so much for your empathy. It is all cleared up now but it took about 5 weeks. I AM scarred from it and that bothers me terribly. I truly would not wish poison ivy on my worst enemy. Stay out of the bushes!!! LOL

  • @jalyn33 YUCK!!! That's horrible. I've heard that a lot of people are REALLY alergic to poision ivy... I hope that you get better soon!
