When I blew my motor at the track last year a lot of oil got into the exhaust system, so much so that when the new motor is running a lot of smoke comes out the tailpipes. If you put your finger in the tailpipe it will be covered in oil, but the oil in the new motor is good so it will just take some time for the exhaust to clean itself out thats all.

  • yes with an 01 you need to swap the heads, but the other big issue is the fuel rail, yours is a single line returnless fuel system, the supercoupe requires a dual line return style system, you will have to modify the supercoupe rail to work, or make a custom fuel line.

You will actually gain HP with this swap but only about 15hp, and thats only because of the supercharger, otehrwise yes you would lose power. But you will gain a lot more torque with the blower, the car will feel a lot faster.

  • mine have very high mileage one them, when the guy set them up he had to play with them right to get a proper wear pattern, I wouldn't resell them. I may just by another rear end with 327's already installed from the factory, although my rear end has all new bearings and seals, so not sure yet.

There are guys on SCCOA that can fab stuff up like that.

  • hey hows the stang runnin?

Hey im just curious how did you get your inner fender so clean? I know you relocated your battery, but wheres the fuses and everything else?

  • Stang is running good, ran a 13.79@98mph last weekend. I make custom inner fender panels to clean up the engine bay, the fuse box sides inside the fender.

  • did you have to lengthen your wires to fit it inside the fender or is it just under your panel? what gears are you running?

and you get 5 stars for the 13.79, and helping me on V6Power to get mine running.

  • I don't think I had to lengthen any wires, There is a write up on V6P on how another member relocated his fuse box.

I currently have 373 gears but want to bring them back down to a 308 or 327, the 373's are too much and I blow through my power band too quicklty, remember roots blowers are low end torque so you don't want to rev up too quickly. I ran just as good 60 ft times with my 273 gears.

  • any special electrical connections that need to be added im putting an 89 sc engine in my 94 mustang and im just wondering on the wiring that needs to be done.any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks

  • Nice v-6.

  • I always had the single port heads. The motor is a stock Supercoupe motor with mild ported heads, stock cam, but has some bolt on parts that gave me a bit more HP.

  • wanna sell your 3.73's? i have the stock gears in my rear end. i want to upgrade to 3.73 and get a FMIC. do you know anyone who can fab me a raised top that exits to the left?
