First of all is tthat a ferret cage? cool. This story really interests me because my sister was pregnant with her first child, and the doctors wrongly diagnosed her baby with downs syndrome. She kept the baby and only until after delivery was it descovered that my niece, Giuliana was perfectly healthy. I don't believe in euthanasia, or any form of taking a life for mercy. I think everyone deserves a chance at life and to decide for themself if they are grateful for their life.

i agree that like in youre situation, if they know something is wrong with the baby before its born, you should have the choice to abort it. BUT i dont think that means all abortion is ok. the majority of people that have abortions do NOT have them because of the health of the baby. i think in your case, abortion should be ok, but it should not be ok to have an abortion just because someone does not want their baby.

I definitely agree that this girl should have had the choice of an abortion. Firstly because it was not her own actions that led to the pregnancy. Therefore should not have had to take responsibility. Secondly because the baby suffered needlessly. And I can understand completely why this has change her views so dramatically. But I do think it gives everyone an easy out. I think it would be like saying stealing is fine because ocassionally some people need to to survive.

@mjt19741 You can't be pro-life and support any kind of death, it just isn't the ideology of pro-life. You can say you're pro-choice but with limitation. In a life threatening situation (to the mom) as in ectopic pragnancies death is a real threat to both mom and baby and long before abortion was legalized by roe v wade (btw Norma McCorvey aka "Jane Doe" is now pro-life) procedures were done to protect the health of the mother.
