Opening Number by Daniel P Collins - My First Video! :D

Phew! What a work out! This is the Opening Number to the musical that I Wrote. Believe it or not but I actually wrote the basic outline of this song when I was 16. Of course I've made many changes to this piece as my experience with composition progressed. But I still think it's cool that I thought of writing a musical when I was 16 and even more cool that I actually finished it when I turned 18! Please let me know what you think of this piece. @SuperGirlDdr Ah, yes! I almost forgot about this video since it's kinda old! lol. I'm actually in the process of rewriting this piece to give it a more rock feel to it without taking to much away from the classic orchestra. I'm glad you like it!

Haha! Thanks! I must that Sabrina and Vivian have a bright future ahead of them. To be composing at such a young age just astounds me. I think that they are certainly much better composers than I am. I would deeply love to hear a composition involving an orchestra written by either one of them. I just know that it would be fantastic! Thanks again for the comment.

wow great song man! dont mean to mock jesus but i think the song would be better if you put chuck norris in there instead of jesus. it just seems to up tight to me. id like it better if it was more relaxed and less purist.

Haha! Well, I will tell you this much, the lyrics may be uptight to some, but the script that goes with the music which I also wrote is definitely more relaxed. In fact some would say that it might seem almost heretic. When putting everything together, I wanted there to be a balance between the "Jesus is God, let's all praise him" point of view and the point of view that Jesus was a man and could've very easily made mistakes. If you were to read the script, I think you would see what I mean.

its actually pretty well written!

only suggestion i would make,

is put in a little more modulation.

its to repetative.

experiment with the chords a little more,

thicken them out a little more,

and add some sort of counter melody,

the basic concept is there,

you just gotta play with it a little more.
