my thesis film at sheridan college. A seeing eye dog must choose between his owner and his favourite toy.

Hand drawn animation, coloured in digicel flipbook, compostied in Adobe After Effects, edited in Adobe Premiere. Backgrounds painted in Adobe photoshop CS5.

Update: Blind Luck will be screening in the following festivals (In order of appearance.) Molise Cinema, ANONIMUL, Toronto Urban Film Festival (TUFF) Maelstrom International Fantastic film festival and Tindirindis Animation festival.
It's also currently in the semifinals of the Adobe design acheivement awards.

  • This is brilliant.

    I'm kind of wondering what software you used to do this...whether or not it's raster or vector animation....If it's done in flash it's pretty incredible, not that it isn't brilliant if it's not. My guess is that you used Digicel Flipbook...?

  • @MarkHansAvon good guess. It was hand drawn, but all of the animation was coloured in flipbook. :)

    (My bad I should have put this in the description.)

  • @jamonpancakes I don't know...I don't think that's the first thing most people are asking to themselves...

    What drawing tools are you using for doing the black and white version of it?

  • @MarkHansAvon you mean the leica? that's just pencil on blank cue cards, and the tones were added in photoshop.
