  • walter hills first film

  • @drunkmonkeykungfu Actually this was the third film he directed - his first was the Charles Bronson / James Coburn film "Hard Times" in 1975, and the second was 1978's "The Driver" starring Ryan O'Neal & Bruce Dern. Prior to these he had written the screenplays for several films, and also worked as an assistant director in the 1960s.

  • In addition to the late Don LaFontaine doing the main voiceover, the ending voiceover was the late Howard Reig (formerly the voice of "NBC Nightly News").

  • @level242 Yo! I heard the same thing, too. The problem about the remake is that it's gonna take place in Los Angeles instead. It would be a lot wiser if it takes place in Chicago instead.

  • They have been talking about a remake of this movie for 5 years now...what gives?

  • I remember c-in' that b-in' advertized on stations like WOR-TV,WPIX-TV,n' WNEW-TV Metromedia on a Saturday afternoon when I wuz in the middle of 3rd grade.
