  • Jan, what harpsichord is played here?

    Thank you

    Enrico

  • @enricolippolis Copies of historical German instruments: one by Carl Conrad Fleischer 1720, one by Christian Zell 1728.

  • @enricolippolis additionally, from Carole Cerasi herself: "The harpsichords used on the Möller Manuscript recording are a copy by Bruce Kennedy (1998) of a Zell (1728), and a copy by Goble (1990) of a Fleischer (1720). The sound of the Goble was 'worked on' a little to emphasise its muselaar-like qualities rather than the high harmonics it also has, of which I was not so fond."

  • @enricolippolis I'm not sure about which tuning as used, but it is likely a 1/5 comma meantone was used here.
