@tf2whackyengineer Nevermind, I just checked wikipedia. He has not only been Othello, he has also been Sophocles's Oedipus. Neither were recorded as far as I know. I so wish I could see both roles.

I really want to see this. Avery Brooks is a great actor.
By the way, has he ever played Othello? He would be perfect for that role. He would just have to play Benjamin Sisko for the most part, the happier upbeat sisko near the beginning, and toward the end of the play he would play it more like Sisko in the episode "In the pale moonlight".
I would pay to see him in that play.

sadly, I mean at the end of ds9 they could have made a great come back movie with him and Gul Dukat.

Cllamont, you got that right! This man should be a household name like Sir Laurence Oliver was and Denzel Washington is! Show business stinks and is very unfair!
