Toccatas for harpsichord from Slobodan Jovanović (born in 1977) are pieces with free, improvisatory character.
Guiding principle and inspiration for these pieces is highly expressive and never static figuration found in Toccatas by Frescobaldi, and later in Bach.
Tonal - freetonal plan is the common element of these Toccatas, and yet, each work is speaking its own dialect.
