This is my brand new Gibson 335 I picked up at my local store some days ago. It plays like a dream and looks even better! I just put this together because I had to show it. I will probably give you something better in a while! Played at quite low volume so it sounds a bit thin.

Guitar used: Gibson 335 Dot figured top. Completely stock.

Amplifier: Vox AC30CC2 with UK made Celestion Blue on the Top Boost channel. Gain at 2 o'clock and EQ at noon (including cut knob). For the last song gain is cranked. A few mods carried out including bright cap.

  • is it normal to have white binding? it's the first es-335 guitar i've seen with white binding, the usually got cream binding...

  • @Joaomota87 its not white really. Allthough the cam makes it look that way!

  • hey how do you like the neck on it!? Is it pretty thick or average? i wana get one the cherry like yours, they got them on sale, just the cherry for only 2550. let me know!! please.

  • @Mattguitarman1234 The neck is slim. Not as slim as the ones on the LP Classic but its definetly slim and by that not the most stable neck. But mine plays incredible! If you need a thicker neck, look into the V.O.S versions.

  • Thinking about ordering this model in cherry. Hard to see the figured maple top in your video. The burst and natural finishes are very nice and you really see the beautiful figuring in the maple. Can you see it in the top on your cherry finished model? If the figuring isn't that easy to see, then I'd go with the cherry burst figured or the plain gloss for $400 less.

  • @mstrammd its very figured! I added a link to a pic in the description.

  • 2:50, is that Die Young by Black Sabbath?

Awesome playing, and the tone was freakin` gorgeous, not to sharp and not to dull, perfect tone, mate, and the guitar is pure eyegasmic!

  • I'd be curious to see how each tone was achieved, you really nailed the appropriate tone for each piece, quite a range. nicely done, I feel like I'm hunting a tone I never quite nail what I want. Is that Vox a tube?

  • nice demo...loved the led zep....

  • If i never had to hear simple kind of man again i would die happy.

  • the guitar is so awesome!!!
