Quick blast round Falmouth Bay aboard Paradox. Was good fun on this day. The following day we clocked 21.9 knts but it was far too wet to film.

  • She certainly is! This footage was shot pretty soon after she went back in after being written off at the start of the fastnet. Since then Matt and Will have won the multihull class in the Biscay Challenge and also the 2009 fastnet which i was also lucky enough to take part in. She's just had another revamp and will be taking part in next years round Britain and Ireland race. I think the fastest they've had to date is somehwere round 31 knots.

  • @ioan1974 Having just re-read that i mean the multihull class at the fastnet, not 'won the fastnet'...lol

  • Think I've seen this boat around Plymouth sometime ago.

Can you tell me what the music is ? Cheers.

  • About 11 years ago, Alan Grace (first owner), Bob Beggs and myself took Paradox across to Guernsey and back. I seem to remember 26 or 27 kts at one point, though I stand (sit) to be corrected. Certainly did 25 around Drakes Island once and scared a journo. Anyways, she's fast!
