  • this song rocks brings the old time loggers to mind real good and ayuh im a mainer

  • Slaid Cleaves has written the music to a Woody Guthrie poem or lyrics, called "This Morning I Was Born Again." Ray Wiley Hubbard recorded it, and I love that so much. But it is inaccessible on the internet, sadly. I hope that, if Mr. Cleaves is blocking it under copyright, that this would somehow get resolved. It is a redemptive poem by Woody, and a definitive tune by Slaid, and Ray Wiley sings the hell out of it. Please let the music spread! Peace.

  • By the way, just from some personal experience:

If you ever find yourself having breakfast in hell, DON'T go for the eggs benedict, they are awfully undercooked and run right through you like watery Mexican salsa.

  • Live 15 min from Mush river, fish it alot, now I know why its called Sandy Gray falls

  • Can't wait to see Slaid tonight in the ol Bristol, Maine stomping grounds. Crossing fingers for this one.

  • @Gearstation Though he lives and works in Austin these days, Slaid is from Berwick, ME, which is much closer to PEI then Texas

  • @crusin12 Slaid Cleaves was from Maine, but now lives in Austin. Sandy Grey was Canadian.
