i bought an seagate free agent pro and i didnt like it, it basically had like 7 default files on the hardrive which you could not delete soo the next day i returned it and bought an WD MY PASSPORT 500GB for a cheaper price then an 320gb, so im happy about that :D I RECOMMEND IT FOR AN PORTABLE LIGHT HARDRIVE

i just bought wd my passport elite and i love it, the only thing is i dont know how long can i leave it connected to the pc and is there any danger leaving it connected for long periods of time???

there is a difference between portable and external hard drives.
portable means that is powered by usb.
external (generally) means that is powered by AC.
