Ps2 original is amazing , got mine at 14 now I'm 20 and I still play it in 2012 :) yeah !!

I prefer the Slim because it has less problems reading games, and I have a slim.

I think I'm glad I didn't buy one at Good Will back when I was gone for the Summer I went to Amazon.com to buy a working PS2 (I do have one but Twas broken) and if it works I'll get a few good games (maybe do a review on Digimon Rumble Arena 2 for the PS2 if I ever get a copy of that game).

I still have SCPH-30005 model and DVD movies never works. I bought PS2 in December 2001, yeah very early.

if you look under the reset and above the eject button the iR receiver is right there indicated by the iR logo

@joshbot360 The iR was only built into the later fat models the early fat models required the iR receiver plugged into the controller port. All the slim models also had the iR receiver built in though.
