she started to quick and her shawl wasnt high enough... and her outfit isnt what judges are looking for... part of what is being judged is regalia.. but other then that she has some good footwork and shes fast =)

I have seen some welcoming ceremonies here in the states for foreing dignitaries and wonder why would we welcome them with red coats and not with the real American donces such as these, just think there should be more recognition for the arts that these nations have

yeah i agree with you all, i fricken get the goose bumps every time i watch this clip...she mastered the song with her foot work and dint forget her shawl..so many woman dont remember to do both.

That's cool, no hate mail here.
The thing that caught my eye was her footwork; to me, that's what it's all about. Outfits are nice, but everything that glimmers is not gold. LOL!

i dont think any native dancer needs a put down i think if they dancing ther repersenting us natives but thats not how it is these days today u gotta be a good dancer n think to highly of yorself n be apart of the tribla family in order to win thats how i c it am i wrong....

You're right. As with all things, nobody likes a 'put down'. Each and every dancer out there has their own unique style. These days, the competition is VERY competitive, so I (personally) don't think that dancers win just because of who they are or who they know. Basically, if Judges are honest, then everything should just come down to the dancers ability. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment.

Hey thats good dancing! I also like how its a simple outfit too. Hey are familiar with the White cloud singers?I believe thats where there from is Bismark. They use to come down to Santee Nebraska for the pow-wow.

I've never heard of the White Cloud Singers. But, there is a group out Fort Berthold that go by the name of White Lodge. They travel extensively, maybe that is who you're talking about.
