A combination of Jingangbashi Qinglong-Quan (青龙拳)and Linking-hands (联手拳)performed by Master Zhou jingxuan (周靖轩).

Jingangbashi's characteristics are agility of motion, Fast footwork, lightning fast fists and continues machinegun-like attacks at the enemy.

The art of Jingangbashi (金刚八式 = 8 forms of Buddha's Warrior Attendants)can be traced back to "Shaolin inner-courtyard fist" (少林内院拳法). A Shaolin monk taught the art to Shi Yushan (石玉山)who later became the head of Tianjin's eleventh Guoshu Guan (national Martial Arts Association). Shi Yushan was known for his Gongfu and his ability to take punches to the body without feeling any pain and for that he was nicknamed iron arhat (铁罗汉).

One of Shi Yushan's most talented disciples was Tianjin's Tian Jinzhong(田金钟). The young Tian jinzhong came from a wealthy family, thus was able to study Martial arts with the best teachers. His first teacher, Shi yushan, was invited by his father at a young age. Another known martial arts teacher was Bajiquan master Wu xiufeng(吴秀峰), who moved to Tianjin in search for a job. At the age of 19 Tian jinzhong started studying Bajiquan in Nankai district from Wu xiufeng and was accepted as an inner door student。

The art has 8 basic fists, 64 hard hands, 64 soft hands, 8 fast short linking-hands forms (LianShouQuan), MianZhang, Qinglong Quanform and many more.

  • This is the best video of teacher Zhou I have seen on youtube (and that is saying a lot since all of his videos are top notch).

This is a very good form and the master is very talented in its execution :D

  • Well, it's my favorite too but it still does him no justice. If you ever see him perform it in person you'll be amazed at his speed and power.

  • If I didn't know better.... Just by looking at the video, it screams "baji".

  • Not at all. Baji doesn't have this complex shenfa and the jingang footwork is way more complex and diverse. Jingang uses a lot of whip-like power and Baji uses more whole body power. Baji goes through to opponent and Jingang is more evasive. Nevertheless, Master Zhou does Baji for many years the same as his teachers and their teacher Grandmaster Tian Jin Zhong who learned it from Wu xiu feng. We all put some Baji power into Jingang

  • @jingang Much respect for Zhou shifu

  • @Shangwuzhai Cool. I would like to see his theories in one steps sparring to see how they work.

  • @MaharlikaAWA Some moves are throws, others are combinations of punches

  • @Shangwuzhai I know what a form in.

And I want to know how the movements are applicable in a real fight. What exactly is he doing to opponents? What scenarios are there? I see him throw his arms circular downward. is that a throw?

  • @MaharlikaAWA this is a form. a technique to practice many variables (speed, change, footwork....) it's not a fight. The skills you get from practicing it ARE useful for real confrontation

  • Can people pull these moves off in real light confrontations?

  • this is a realy nice form. i love the speed and flow it has .i enjoyed watching this vid with much respect.

  • Nice dance :)

  • I would like to if I come to Tienjin. :D
