Full service gas stations are rare, making life more difficult for the handicapped. How are you supposedf to fill your tank if you are a disabled customer driving an adapted vehicle?

Reducing the use of plastic bags is a good thing but the way it is being done is a scam. Many business have done this and it should be illegal unless the money is going to help the environment and not into corporate pockets.

I just saw the "Salute" video and it's follow up. Yup, women have the equal right to have their ass handed to them if they are being silly!

The response to potholer is sexist against males. Would anyone have cared if a woman did that video?

I like the point you made about cashiers and bagging. Never thought about it that way. Honestly, I prefer bagging my own cause then I know its gonna be sorted right. Nothing drives me crazier than cans and pasta sauce jars thrown on nice produce or dish soap / draino bagged with something you eat. And of course they don't replace or reimburse you for the stuff they ruin.

There is one chain of locally owned grocery stores that not only has baggers but you pull up to the store and they will *gasp* load the groceries into your car! Of course, this store's prices average 15% higher than any other grocery.

Not sure if Save-A-Lots are in Canada but we have them in Michigan. Anyhow, they've never given plastic or paper bags or packed your groceries. They transfer your purchases to another cart and you take them to a long bench table that they keep stocked with all the boxes that their products come in. You can use those, bring your own bags, or purchase a super nice, heavy duty, reusable plastic bag for a nickle, might be a dime now.

@nelliediddle I do volunteer work helping forward the cause of the handicaped. That's one of the things I look for all the time.

This whole Atheism/Agnostic disturbance is the result of inventing labels for a negative position that there shouldn't be a label for. I'm finding myself agreeing more and more with Sam Harris in that it was and is a mistake to use the word Atheist to identify someone who finds no credible evidence for a god.
