THAT ARRANGEMENT, THE URGENT GUITAR AND DRIVING BEAT. THE WOLF'S POWERFUL VOICE--INGREDIENTS FOR A REMARKABLE TUNE. THANX TO WILLIE DIXON FOR SONGS, A&R WORK AND HOLDING THESE GREAT BANDS TOGETHER FOR RECORDINGS. THANX ALSO TO HUBERT SUMLIN FOR INVENTIVE GUITAR WORK. BLESS THEIR MEMORY.

one of the best slide players, learned from Charlie Patton, possibly a bit from Son House early on when they all played jukes, along with Robert Johnson, Little Walter et al..Wolf could do a lot of stuff never put out by Chess, they never did an acoustic album by him. I have stuff on tape of just us would amaze most as it's stuff never heard and very fine, rocking acoustic boogie style harp, for example. Some stuff Wolf kept to a minimum to not overshadow other elements of a given song (c)SGS

This is a great recording! "Meet Me in the Bottom" is my absolute favorite Howlin' Wolf piece. I love, Love, LOVE him and wish I could've seen him perform in person. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing with us!
