  • THAT ARRANGEMENT, THE URGENT GUITAR AND DRIVING BEAT. THE WOLF'S POWERFUL VOICE--INGREDIENTS FOR A REMARKABLE TUNE. THANX TO WILLIE DIXON FOR SONGS, A&R WORK AND HOLDING THESE GREAT BANDS TOGETHER FOR RECORDINGS. THANX ALSO TO HUBERT SUMLIN FOR INVENTIVE GUITAR WORK. BLESS THEIR MEMORY.

  • one of the best slide players, learned from Charlie Patton, possibly a bit from Son House early on when they all played jukes, along with Robert Johnson, Little Walter et al..Wolf could do a lot of stuff never put out by Chess, they never did an acoustic album by him. I have stuff on tape of just us would amaze most as it's stuff never heard and very fine, rocking acoustic boogie style harp, for example. Some stuff Wolf kept to a minimum to not overshadow other elements of a given song (c)SGS
