Check out the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar's interview where she says that today's young generation is just not interested in classical music. For regular updates on the latest happenings in Bollywood, subscribe to http://www.youtube.com/businessofcinema
I think it is very sad that on the whole, the younger generation have no appreciation of classical music. I was brought up in a house filled with classical music, and I passed this on to my children who are now grown up. The eldest is a music student (classical choral) and the youngest is studying mathematics. They both have a love of classical music, that I'm sure they will pass on to their children.
Please visit my channel as I have composed some short classical pieces. I hope you like them.

@MoonBHAA Unfortunately I agree with you. As a member of your generation (or so I assume) I've learned the hard way that the faster one moves the fewer the details are absorbed. This stands true in life especially. The end is always there waiting for your arrival. The quicker you get there, the faster things end and the less you appreciate, see and understand. The nuances of classical music are indeed lost on our current generation. :(

it's time to adapt......we can't cling on to past music, times are moving forward...an age that can't wait 30 secs to downloads is not going to listen to slow songs...they want fast songs like the time that we are living in.....haha
