My entire family live and work in Cumbernauld and we all agree it's shite. I've been here my entire life and hated it for as long as I can remember. Not only is most of it a horrendous eyesore, but there is absolutely no culture here - the few who try to bring some in are forced out by ridiculously high rents for tiny patches of space that just aren't worth it. The locals have no pride at all, no sense of community and therefore can't be arsed trying to better there situation. :(

Always loved Cumbernauld,stayed in Afton Rd & Doon Side in Kildrum.left when i was 8yrs old.Sad Kildrum primary wisnae replaced,the toon centre was a brilliant playground when a wis wee.Best & friendliest folk i ever met .The Golden Eagle sadly gone as well.Held ma sisters christening do their & years later ma Granfaithers wake.Poor investment and missed opportunities have ruined my home town !!!

everybody thinks cumbernaulds filthy but its only that area is because where i live its totally different, the town centre is in the worst bit with all the dodgy places, now they have a new bit of the town centre
