  • Um, Quit is not under "File", it's in the application menu. :-)

  • Yep, your right. My bad. Habit of being a Mac user since Mac OS 7 (when it was under File).

  • I'm listening! I'm part of the over 50 age group and visually challenged. The iPad looks like it is going to suit the way I consume multimedia (movies/ music/ ebooks) now, but make it easier for me. I can't wait to get my hands on one.

  • What the geeks bashing this thing are failing to understand is that this device is not meant for them. They are meant for you.

  • In the spirit of YouTube Ill add absolutely nothing to the conversation here. You and I have the same bookshelves!

  • Not surprising. You are a man of obvious class and taste.

  • I love how animated you are in this, like a mad scientist. Brilliant stuff though, I totally agree and I for one can't wait for this Appley Orangey goodness future.

  • Removing the multitasking is just a way to limit the users potential and their capabilities. If you offer them an OS with no multitasking, obviously they will start to be ok with that, but only for a matter of habit. Multitasking could not make a lot of sense for a smarphone OS, but in a gadget that pretends to replace the netbook and the modern desktop OS -that's finally what you want to pretend us to believe- is absolutely BASIC and NECCESSARY. Even for the over-50 old people and everybody.

  • Fun to watch. intereresting. you seem like a smart guy.

  • Nice work, Patrick! You had some really excellent points in there.

  • It's an amusing rant but I think you should stick to writing --- in this video you come off looking a little bit off your rocker :) --- and I'm a fan of the iPad, don't get me wrong...

  • @prhone I know what you mean. I am constantly looking for the Special menu ;—)

  • What I am about to say may shock you but... Multitasking is only a necessity for power users. I deal with dozens of less experienced desktop Mac Users a day that quit and relaunch apps all day instead of switching out of them. If you forced that on them, they would never know the difference. Especially in a brand new OS. Out of the millions of iPhone users, the only ones I have ever heard complain about the lack of multitasking are the people who understand what capabilities that could bring.
