Even with the weather not cooperating today, K&O still ran its Hutchinson Fiesta Train. After arriving they pulled up to Main St. to let the passengers de-train and go and have lunch at the Anchor Room Mexican Restaurant. At about 1:40PM the crew came back and got the train ready for departure, they pulled back to Main St. to pick up the passengers while it was raining. After everyone was on board they highballed for Wichita. I followed the train to Yoder, KS where I got my last shot of it.

  • hows the weather there? It looks really bad on the weather radar.

  • It wasn't bad during the time the video was made, but now there are some tornado warnings in the area.

  • why the engine in the back?

  • They need to go back to Wichita so they just use the loco in the back to operate from on the way back.

  • Three locos pulling three cars......I think they needed more power :-)

  • that was cool!!! so is the weather in the temperature sense. all the good trains roll when the weather sucks and when the weather is good it's just the same ole dirty BNSF or UP engines depending on where you live.

  • Nice one! I wish I lived somewhere where there was a yearly special for trains like passenger trains and what not. I live in Ohio and the only specials that come through here are the CSX Inspection train some times or the BB&BB Cirus train.

  • This is one neat video! It's well edited, the locations are neat & neat railroad!

  • I saw a UP passenger train haul ass in the City of Industry going east about a year ago...STRANGE!! i

  • @sportscardfan1 No...I believe most of it is jointed rail, and outside of town it's good for 45 MPH

  • Hey is this all welded?

  • I wanted to see inside of the train.

  • look a bit closer to the horn, its casting is thicker than that of a leslie and the sound of it is more mellow than the leslies, third gen horns like this one usually have leslie spike back chambers on them like the ones from former missouri pacific,or union pacific often refer to as "mutts",since u can actually mix prime and leslie components.besides prime and leslie horns were the standard of the GE super 7 locomotives built for mexico in the 90's.u can find more info on the web if u need it

  • how u know its a prime horn?

  • super it has a really nice Prime 920 horn (the first train)then a P3 on the other locomotive

  • im suprised they were able to make it with 3 lol
