Sows are never comfortable being alone in a small cage. They want to have social contacts and the want to move and nuzzle in the mud. How diseased someone needs to be, that he thinks that it is enough when the pigs have water, food and air. No one would have his dog like that....but pigs are even more intelligent then dogs. And a boar never harms sow by a sexual contact. It's just much cheaper to make it without him.
