No matter what she did or didn´t do, she is an extraordinary poet and that is what counts after all!

I imagine your question was rhetorical, but I always thought she was so prolific from a distance because she was reflecting the miraculous act of divinity. Also, it was less painful to not be exposed to others, like Susan Gilbert, who would never live up to Emily's expectations. She had purist tendencies and the most pure relationship one can have is with one self.
