Plorate filii Israel by Giacomo Carissimi from his early opera/oratorio 'Jephthe'. The heroine Filia has one night to lament her fate as her father has promised to sacrifice her to the gods (the first thing he saw on his return from battle). Plorate filii Israel, plorate omnes virgines, et filiam Jephte unigenitam in carmine doloris lamentamini.

English translation:
Weep, you children of Israel, weep, all you virgins,
and for Jephthah's only daughter,
lament with songs of anguish.
