It's Montana, an FCS powerhouse, but FCS nonetheless, going across the country to one of the toughest places to play. I don't know why people degrade Tennessee or brag on them. App State was once in a lifetime where all of the stars aligned.
For FCS schools, these kinds of games are more like preseason anyhow, facing a tough opponent to figure out what you need to improve on. Few FCS coaches go for the win. Nobody wants to be like Boise State where people are too scared to play you.
dooley could win 9-10 games as well with carrols talent. tennessee could have easily been 8-5 last year, and without injury to hunter and bray early on, may very well have beat georgia florida and sc, and be sitting at 9-2. not probable, but possible. he has done a great job considering the league he coaches in and the youth he has. ANY team that is young in the sec stands very little chance to come out on top. look at sabans first year at bama. even the best coach needs talent and exp to win
sick and tired of all the praise kiffin is getting. usc in this decade has been a much easier job in terms of off the field coaching. it recruits itself pretty much and is a much easier conference to win in. Dooley took on one hell of a rebuilding job with a team that was lacking experience and talent. kiffin bailed on ut, not just because usc was his dream job, but he knew what the future held at ut. if you wanna make dooley kiffin comparisons, then at least wait till year 3 or 4 of dooley.
@greymoose1000 Knoxville stole is wife (and to be honest she's hot as hell so id rather have her/ Dooley's a better coach than Kiffin anyway)...you can keep him....but not her
