The Care Bears - DiC - Intro Theme No.1 (closed captions)

The first intro of DiC's version of the Care Bears, like many series intros of the time it consisted mostly of clips from the series episodes. DiC's take on the bears would last for twenty-one episodes during which Nelvana created both The Care Bears Movie and its sequel, afterwards they then took total control of the animation duties.

DiC series kept the characters of Professor Coldheart and his bumbling assistant Frostbite - is there any other kind - from the two TV specials. The cartoon resembled the original cards a bit more closely than Nelvana's version. The care bear cousins appear in the series, though not in all of the episodes. Despite its relatively small number of episodes, The Care Bears managed to have another intro created; one parodying the intro to their second special.

The series rights are retained by The Wonderful World of DiC.

care bears was my religion when i was a little kid! cozy heart was my fave.

care bears planted the seeds in me, at 3 years old, that led me to anarchism as an adult. :)
