  • 18 is what she said.  Suppose he didn't keep doing that when he grew up, but periodically when he needed to 'grow into the technique'.

    It had been said by a neighbor of Vladimir Horowitz that he practiced 18 hours a day and the neighbor was a famous Pianist in his own right. Another pianist that will never be again.

    Pleasure to have seen them both in concert.
