ENGLISH short SUMMARY:
- Script
Stay real while writing. You as a fanfilm maker can´t do stuff like in Hollywood, but in return you can do stuff that Hollywood would never make.
Write your story interesting, varied and don´t make it too complicated. Start with something short. (A screenplay is not a novel btw.)
Have dramaturgy in mind (introduction, first plot point, main part, second plot point, final confrontation, epilogue).
- Locations
Digital: Shoot in front of Green-/Bluescreen with good lighting and put your cast into a digital environment later in the post-production.
Real: Scout for adequate locations (forest, futuristic tunnel, castle ruin,...). But remember: when it´s not a public place, you need permission. But in general for a private fan video there´s no need for permission, since you don´t want to make money with it.
- How to shoot your takes
You need to transfer your written story into images. The story is told via the eye of your camera. Watch movies and see how the images/takes are shot. Make varied perspectives and cuts: long shots, close-up views and more. And remember continuity! You can retrieve much while editing later, but not everything.
If you have problems you can draw a storyboard. It´s much work, but it can help a lot.
Shooting is the most stressful part in movie making. But the post-production needs the most time...
