Harry Townes wants to see what Van Prin saw when he gazed into the mirror wearing the yellow rimmed glasses .. "The Cheaters" was an episode from October of 1960 and is considered a classic by the horror genre elite. "The Thriller" was a weekly horror show hosted by none other than Boris Karloff!

  • I saw this as a child, and had nightmares for decades. This episode and "A Wig for Miss Devore."

  • @Seakyr I did too [at least at the time[] This, as well as The Hungry Glass and Miss Devore, were in my opinion the 3 best ever episodes hands down!! Very eerie suspenseful and beyond imagination for a young chid- but I wouldn't change it for the world - Sure you wouldn't either! Thanks for watching

  • Tis one scared the hell out of mew when I saw it.

  • if the glasses showed the truth, then was the truth that a monster was inside all people?

  • What would be worse? To have to stay in that room alone or to let that stridently shrieking woman in?

  • I saw this when it first played. I was nine. It came on in the afternoon, but I was alone. When his image transformed into the monster it scared the living hell out of me. I never forgot it. Now, at 60, I had the chance to see it again, expecting to be scared to death again. Needless to say, I wasn't. But I carried this fear in me for 51 years, never wanting to see it again. I almost wish I hadn't.

  • One of the best of season 1,along with the hungary glass and the devil's ticket.

  • And... As Sure As His Name Is Boris Karloff,This Is A "THRILLER".
