Thoroughly enjoyed your offering :P However, Is it really that immense a shock that a HDB mediator arranged for the Singaporean Indian family to back down and change their way of life to suit that of our friends from beyond? It happened with durians years back. Our icon. Our love. Our durian.. They banned it on buses and trains. The ban is still in place today, punishable by fine. Come now, we shant offend our most valuable 'talent' pool. ;)

Good job mate, I grew up in Singapore for 34 years and we embraced every smell, be it strong stir fried garlic, strong sambal belachan or curry smell. That's the fabric of our nation, embracing multicultural differences. So to those who are not up to it, to those who came to Singapore recently to live here by your own free-will, these I have to say to you FIFO....FIT IN OR FARK OFF.
