Tears of an Angel (1)

AU Spoilers up to Ark of Truth and Bad Timing. Y'know the drill.

NOTE! This is the first time I haven't been able to decide an ending for a video, so I present to you TWO videos. Both have a different ending. I won't say which one is the 'definitive article'. Choose whichever one you'd rather it be.

Primarily Vala POV Cam/Vala established.

10-ish years post Season 10, Vala and Cam are quite happily married. Cameron is grievously wounded while on a mission, and when he awakens briefly, he has lost most, if not all of his memories of the Stargate Program. When Vala gets the news, she rushes to see him, but he's fallen unconscious again, and the doctor says that the accident on the mission damaged a portion of his brain that deals with his memories, and that they have no way of restoring them.

When Cam awakens, and lacks any recognition of her, Vala can't bear to deal with the situation, and leaves.

While the team struggles to bring Cameron back into their group--as his pieces of memories of the Stargate Program still have too much confidential information to let go, and his memories prior to SGC are intact--Vala struggles to accept the loss of everything she had with Cam. Daniel and Sam do their best to offer what support for her that they can, but she rarely allows them close enough to try,

It's not long before Cam notices how much more terse and awkward she is with him than the rest of the team--and how the others seem unwilling to talk about her.

Finally, he confronts her about it. At first it seems she will avoid him again, but after a moment, she tells him how they got together, and that they were married before the mission. After a moment, Cameron leaves, unsure of what to say.

Having dredged up old memories, and faced his complete lack of recollection, even when prompted, it becomes even harder for Vala to deal with. Cameron himself can't help being constantly distracted thinking about the memories he lost, imagining how they might have been, and wondering if it could be fixed.

SPOILER: Only read if you'd like to know the ending, or don't understand it.

Together with Vala, Sam comes up with an idea. It won't fix everything, but its something. She suggests patching Cam's missing memories with Vala's own memories, allowing Cam to remember and to feel
how they were through Vala's eyes.

always loved Cam & Vala was so hoping that the writers whould put them together cuz Claudia & Ben have a amazing chemistry both on screen & off screen but noooo
