Relationships have plenty of down points and those always suck. But there's usually a way to solve them. It can be easy or a bit more complicated. Either way, do it fast before you crash and burn.

I quickly ran towards Abigail after what my mother said. I found her in my room and slowly opened the door. She was crying in the bed, curled up in the blankets. I quickly rushed over and got under the blankets with her. I moved closer and took her into my arms.
She sobbed into my shirt and I felt horrible and guilty. "Shh, sweetheart. You know she's lying."
"I'm sorry."
"For what, darling?"
"I know you're going to get married to someone else and I'm just getting in the way. Maybe your mom is right. Maybe I should just go home."
"No. Don't listen to anything that my mother says. I love you and I am not letting you just leave me."
"I know you have to get married but it's just so hard to have to see it."
"I'm not going to marry one of those girls. I want to marry you."
"But you can't, remember? I just wish you could. Why did you have to be the Prince? I want to be with you forever."
"Me, too." How could I let Abigail believe that we couldn't get married? She had to know. I had to propose soon.
I held her as her tears finally stopped. I felt horrible that my mother was doing this to her. She was innocent. If anything, this was my fault. I was the one who fell in love with her, asked her to come to the castle, and the one who put her through all of this. Why did I do this? How could I hurt her like this?
I needed some happiness and I knew where to go for that. "Abigail, would you like to go visit Keri?"
She looked up at me. "That sounds great."
We rode to Nick's house and knocked on the door. Keri opened it with Rose in her arms. "Your Highness, Lady Abigail, what a pleasure to see you both."
"A pleasure to see you too, Keri. We wanted to visit and see how things are going."
"Of course. Come in."
We entered and Keri showed us where to sit. Rose was sleeping on her shoulder and she looked so cute. "So how are you and Nick doing with the new baby in the house?"
"Everything is good. I mean, parenthood is harder than we expected but we're doing pretty good."
"That's great. No problems whatsoever?"
"Well, having a baby does cause a little bit of problems but one thing that I'm worried about is that Nick is barely home. He spends most of his time at the castle or at his other job. We barely see him around anymore."
Abigail grabbed my hand. "I'm sure he's just busy. I bet he's dying to spend some time with you and Rose."
"I don't know. It's usually just Rose and I around here. I really can't do this by myself. I can't," she whispered at the end, tears coming out of her eyes. Abigail walked over and hugged her. "Thank you, Lady Abigail."
"Everything will be fine. Nick is just looking out for both of you. He wants to make money to be able to give you things. That's his way of helping," Abigail explained.
"I know and I'm being selfish but I just wish he could help a bit with the baby."
Abigail and I comforted Keri as she worried over whether Nick was actually happy about the baby and what was going on. Keri at one point even doubted his love. Abigail and I convinced her that he was ecstatic of being a father and that he loved Keri more than ever. He married her after all.
It was a long day while we talked to Keri. Finally, the door opened and Nick walked in. He looked around at all of us. "Hello, Your Highness, Lady Abigail. Hi, Keri." He kissed her cheek and walked into their bedroom. I could see the pain on Keri's face. Rose squirmed in her arms and she looked down sadly at her daughter.
I felt bad for her. I stood up and followed Nick into the bedroom. He turned. "I need to talk to you, Nick."
"What about?"
"Your wife and daughter. You do know you have those, right?"
"Of course I do. What's wrong?"
"Keri doesn't feel appreciated. She says you're always out and that she and Rose barely see you."
"I'm just busy with work is all. I want to be home more but I can't."
"Well, show her that you still care about her and Rose. She misses you. They need your attention too."
"I'm sorry. I never meant to hurt them."
"Show them you love them. Do something special."
"I will. Thank you, Your Highness. And thank you and Abigail for being Rose's godparents."
"It was our pleasure." I walked out and saw that Abigail was hugging Keri, who was crying. Rose was in her crib. We finally said goodbye and left.
We went back to the castle and I got into bed. I waited for Abigail who was dressing in the closet. I grabbed the box from my dresser and stared at the ring, thinking about how beautiful it would look on Abigail's finger. I had to propose. Tomorrow. I was going to ask Abigail to marry me tomorrow.

aw. i feel really bad for Nick's family cuz nick isn't around as much anymore.
I hope that joe proposes to her, and he better not change his mind and leave it for another day :)

Aw, of course Nick still loves and cares for Keri (I'm gonna go third person on this one :D)
Abigail and Nick are right, he's just supporting her by keeping the money flowing.
If he didn't work for them, then he'd feel shitty and they wouldn't be able to give Rose what she needs.
They just need to learn to talk. That is the problem to most marriages early on :D
I really am hoping Joe will propose but I know his mom will get in the way...she always does. Grr.

Aww I feel bad for Keri, hopefully Nick will make it up and do something special for her, she deserves it after all those hours she spent giving birth to his daughter! Haha, kidding they should spent some time alone or something though.
Yay! Joe is finally going to propose hopefully it goes well. Can't wait to read how that is going to go down.
