As seen by camera operators from both sides of the conflict.

Both Russian and Chechen footage, including the "first" (second) battle of Grozny in 1995.

All visible corpses were removed from the film due to the YouTube policy against the pictures of dead bodies.

  • Russia will never give these muslim pigs freedom. Haha.

  • In the west we cringe anytime out million dollar rocket explodes 2 meters off the target and kills a few civilians. It seems carpet bombing brings less problems of this kind....no survivors to cry on TV.

  • RUSSIAN PIG LAST WAR IN AFGANISTAN SAME WILL BE HAPPEN WITH CECHEN BROTHERS..

  • @MrDanielBowman74 Grozny was leveled by house-to-house fighting. In the second war - yes it suffered more from artillery. But still - this in no way is carpet bombing.

Civilian deaths are reported IF they happen to be observed by indeps or are obvious. Like if they happen in the capital, on the central square. Both in Russia and in the US. However if no special attention is drawn...

Iraq and Chechnya have as much in common as Iraq and Vietnam. So many things that make huge difference.

  • @mizukami999

So the Grozny was leveled just by accident? Hard to believe that. And no the air force was just part of it. Main part was heavy artillery, Even less precise.

Every time some civilians in some distant village are hurt all major US media report about it. Please don't let me state the obvious.

Look I don't mean this to be a competition who is worse. I just wanted to point out the paradox of public opinion and you only reinforce it....'Russians destroy capital cities by "mistake".'

  • @MrDanielBowman74 Precisely, like when gen. Rokhlin requested air support, the pilot accidentally hit his troops in the White House with a bomb. Rokhlin then requested no more support, please. Another story: no flare dispencers, so the pilots approached the zone, fired somewhere, and headed back. But, why u think all the destruction was from air? The coverage. In Russia there were channels in opposition to REGIME. Do the US have anything like that? - ABSOLUTELY NO! Same in Russia now.

  • @Kunggi1 We will end you russian dogs. You were pushed out of afghanistan and now you also will be pushed out of your forsaken 'mother land'' by the chechens.

'DEATH TO RUSSIA!' will be their slogan and these cries would be heard over Moscow.

  • @mizukami999

Fail strikes of rookie pilots? Must been a lot of that to have the same effect as carpet bombing.

Chechen war coverage can't seriously compare with Iraqi, come on. And the second? Not a peep. I wonder why. Maybe it wouldn't help Mr. Putin with his image? Lots of useless deaths on both sides.

You mean Dresden and Hiroshima? They learned from that...they let Hanoi alone for price of losing the war.

  • @MrDanielBowman74 Fail-strikes of rookie pilots are different from carpet bombings. It's hard to level a city with a bunch of obsolete Mi-24s and Su-25s. Regarding the coverage, the 1st war in terms of transparency was Godlike if we compare it with Western coverage of war in Iraq. That made the war very unpopular and forced Yeltsin to end it in order to win the elections in 96, and change the media policies... Carpet-bombing: I meant the past experience of USAF, nothing can compare with that!
