Justice League of America is an unsuccessful 1997 TV-pilot produced by CBS and directed by Félix Enríquez Alcalá, based on a team of fictional DC Comics superheroes from the comic of the same name. The film centers on a female meteorologist who gains superpowers and on her subsequent induction into the "Justice League" (JLA), while the city of New Metro is held for ransom by a terrorist armed with a "Weather Control Device".
The film is interjected with mock-interviews of various members of the Justice League, speaking about life as a superhero in a past tense, preceding the events of the film.
This is less JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA and more X-MEN as interpreted by FRIENDS.

Plus, at 5 minutes I already figured out who the bad guy is and what's happening. No effort whatsoever was put into this.

4 minutes in, and this is just awful. I can't imagine a less creative way of introducing the characters.

I believe the big names, like Superman and Batman, weren't available due to their character rights being owned by other companies so we got these lame characters. And they probably were cheaper as far as creating their powers. This really was God awful, and yes, I sat through the whole thing too!

They denounced their US citizenship due to new law Congress just passed which they can detained anyone without charge. Just League of America is dead. There is no justice in America anymore
