NYTimes.com. An installation featuring the etchings of celebrated British painter Lucian Freud opens at the Museum of Modern Art. Melena Ryzik of The Times reports.
This presentation is just unbelievably disrespectful and extremely dumb. freud is one of the most important, succesful and awesome painters at the present. those ppl are just there because its soo intellegent and so high-class and fancy to "like" and "understand" art. aaaaaahhhh disgusting. sorry, i just had to get this off my chest.
Another inferno of vanities. These people don't know what they are witnessing, even if they are only witnessing each other. I've been to so many openings where the "art aficionados" stand in groups, directly in front of the paintings, talking at "sit-com' depth. It used to infuriate. Now it only numbs.
:/ Next time send somebody who knows something about art, so we don't have to listen about this fashion BS when we're looking to hear some morsels about one of the greatest living realist painters!!!!
it's a freud exhibition and you talk about shoes?
