Dont know how tattooing is a fad, when tattooing has been around... since sometime during the BC era, long before "fad" was probably even a word. Criminals? Whores? Wow.
People get tattoos because they want to, not because everyone else is getting them...

@soylocaaa Depends in what country you live... some are open minded others are close minded where I you could NEVER do that. lucky you you live in a cool place

@lilithrozz I don't know, but i work in a bank and one of the employees have full body tattoos (which he doesn't hide at all) and a LOT of facial piercings, and i never heard anyone complain about it because he's a great guy and is probably one of the best employees in our department. Also there are two or three people with colored hair (by colored i mean blue, purple and pink) So you know, I think it's time people stop being so bloody stuck up and remove whatever stick they's got up their butts

Tattoo marking criminals and whores? That person has obviously never heard of the Maori people who get face tattoos to indicate their social status. The more complex the tattoo is, the more important the person is. While tattoos and piercings have different meanings for each individuals and cultures, the important thing is: if you don't like tattoos, or a piercings, DONT GET ONE AND STOP BOTHERING OTHERS! Body modification has been around forever and isn't going anywhere! GET OVER IT!

and i dont see why people say you'd go to hell for "tainting the body of god" when you can just as easily go get them removed... does that magicly take you off the tainting list lol

if tattoos and piercings were mainstream we would not have to hide them every time we go for a job interview

and as a wise man once said to me the difference between the tattooed and the non-tattooed is that the tattooed don't care if the other has any or not. Nameste
Tattoos and piercings actually are mainstream... If you apply for a place where you know these things are acceptable, you don't have to hide them. If you apply at a place that's extremely conservative, then yes, you probably would. They are mainstream as a whole, but some parts of society just chooses to not accept or approve of them. That cant be helped, really. There will always be people who don't like things that have been around for a long time and wont be going away any time soon.
