We have a 5-month-old Standard Poodle and we plan on growing out all its fur. You don't have to have the posh cuts, Velocity. =)

They may look like little froo froo dogs, but they are highly intelligent and, unlike breeds such as Jack Russell Terriers, they are highly trainable. And I bet people won’t call them little froo froo dogs if they would have their entire coats shaved (but not bald), and maybe if they would have a boxer’s ear crop (or shorter) and a tail docked short.

I love poodles I'd like to have one but I wouldnt want those typical posh looking haircuts - I think they look better with normal cut
