We adopted one as well. It was supposed to be my bird but chose to love my husband instead. She gets really protective when I get around him. I can't even sit beside him without her wanting to bite me. She's a great bird and really quiet!

I adopted one of these birds from someone who could not keep it. I ultimately passed it on to a bird enthusiast becasue it was so nasty and noisy.

I have heard this breed attcahes themselves to just 1 person. They are loyal and protective to the 1 person. To others, they can be mean and not as nice. Your bird looks just like mine. I love their colors! They are truly beautiful birds.

At this time, I don't have any videos. I was looking at YT to see if anyone has any videos of their parrots. I might in the future. My parrot is named Oscar. I got him for my 5th BD. I named him Oscar, cause he was green, and Sesame Street Oscar made a mess, like my parrot did. He was very messy. But he became so attched to me. My wife cannot even hug me in front of him, otherwise he tries to bite her.

I have had my Mexican Red Head for 28 years! He is so attached to me. When I got married, he got so jealous of my wife that he pooped on her picture in my room. He walks around the house looking for me, too. He's on a perch not in a cage, because he really likes to flap his wings and be free. But he decides to explore from time to time. Thank you for posting your video.

Thanks for the comment! Mine is 14yrs. He is totally bonded with me. My GF is afraid of him because he's jealous as well. Mine will find is way upstairs and i'll wake up and he'll be in my Bed. Don't ya just love Green Cheeks.. Do you have any video posted of your bird?
