Just added some DIY Acoustic Baffles to the studio and thought I would do a quick walk-through. The acoustic baffles are DIY and are made from 2'x4'x2" Roxul AFB insulation in a frame made from 1"x4" pine. They were then covered in speaker fabric to allow better audio to pass through. I only installed 6, but have plans to add 7 more plus bass traps. It really does make a world of difference with just these 6.

If you want a tutorial on how to make them, i'll be glad to post one up.

  • Cool studio space! I, too, have built the bass traps and acoustic panels that are in my studio: cheap and easy + they work like a charm =)

  • Hey man. Great job and great looking setup. I'm in the market for DIY insulation myself. I built panels before using Roxul 60 but am seriously considering the Roxul AFBs that u used. I've read conflicting reports on how well they hold up. What was your experience with them? Did you "sink" them in the frame or laid on top. I'm really interested in your thoughts and feedback. Thanks - Rock

  • Nice setup man! Exactly what I want to have. Just recently got maschine and am having a great time with it.
