This is my first upload of a series of 12 songs I plan to restore and upload here. This one is "Dear Old Donegal" by Leeds M. I don't have the singer's full name, and I'll tell you why.
My grandparents would play this old audio tape of Irish folk songs when I was little. My grandmother gave me the tape because I guess she knew how much I enjoyed it. I think I had it for some ten-fifteen years before converting it into a digital format.
I have never heard any of the songs on this tape sung as Irishly (is that a word), or with as much spirit as they are sung on this old tape. The tape is titled A Weekend In Ireland and all the singer's names are abbreviated on the back so I'm not sure who they are. The tape is almost three decades old now... anyway, stay tuned as I will work hard to restore and upload these songs when I can..
i love this version of the song.

This was one of the songs my mother would play when we, her kids, were acting up. We would just start dancing around the table. Thanks for bringing back good memories.
