To get it to work with out being on a computer, all you have to do is take the green wire from the main wiring harness on the PSU to any ground wire (black) and it will turn on when you plug the PSU in.

not bad kid ! yes you can run the stereo off of 12v battry but you'll voltage ragulater and I think you'll be batter off with a 12v AC/DC adaptor connected to home power. good luck

you must be able to charge the battery on a continus charge in order for it to work and not make any noise..charles.
