Metallica w/ John Marshall - Sad But True (Live in San Francisco, December 5th, 2011)

Metallica perform "Sad But True" off of their 1991 self titled black album with Metal Church guitarist John Marshall who stood in on rhythm guitar for the band when James Hetfield injured his arms. Recorded live @ The Fillmore in San Francisco, California on December 5th, 2011 (the first of four Metallica 30th birthday concerts).

@jugthugular He was Kirk's guitar tech in the 80's and into the 90's sometime. He filled in on guitar for James on three occasions. I like what James said about him, "If you're a roadie (or something like that) learn the band's songs!". John saved them the hassle of having to reschedule the shows. There's a pic somewhere of John onstage standing next to Cliff two nights before the accident. The next night James was back on guitar.
