i used to use linux but i was sick and tired of the crappy open source software that came with it even though it is verry stable

While Windows has more applications and does not automaticly conect to conections you dont want to conect to Mac takes longer to over heat and has less programs you can run.

@OhSixteenCandles i agree to some degree but pc is great for gaming and you can be creative on it i think macs are for show offs you buy one just to say hey i got a laptop that cost £2000 (not being nasty i have a mac too)

Do you use your Mac to pursue your 'avant-garde' and 'vintage' interests? You can't even spell 'avant-garde' properly, tool.

Why I made the switch - because my job needed it (i'm in the post-production field) and while for the past 10 years I've been holding back, after accommodating to OSX I kinda realized it's the little things that apple does that made me believe in their philosophy, they are for a better computing experience. After all, computers are just a tool so why do you have to spend so much time in making it work as opposed to "it just works" so that you can concentrate on productivity?

@OhSixteenCandles Oh guess what? I also have a life. A job, go to University, have assignments to do and even socialize. Because building a PC isn't that difficult, and does not take that much time. Your comment just tells me that you're too dumb to do it.

Windows is more for offices and your average ass-flat-on-the-chair working type of person.
Mac is for artists, creativity, fun, teenagers.
