@TheAuspicious Manning signed a nondisclosure agreement with the US government. He knows that the penalty, by law, is life in solitary confinement. If he is guilty, he will never hear another human voice but his own for the rest of his life.

He made that decision - he will live with it.

@MrBullfrog9876 Actually, the soldiers on the ground had received SAF from that position and had called for CAS. The AH64s were in search for the MAMs that were responsible for the SAF. If you look close you will see that there are a number of possible AIF that were carrying AK47. Over There, when your or your fellow Soldier's life is in the balance, you have little time to make a decision that others can take as much time as needed to judge whether you did the right thing.
